Emily and Alex | Wickham Park | Connecticut Engagement

It is always an honor when a couple chooses Live Lovely Photography as their photographer, but this engagement felt extra special because Emily is the younger sister of Ashley and Stephanie, two brides I have had the pleasure of photographing previously. I was there with my camera at Stephanie’s wedding when Alex was introduced to Emily’s family for the first time! I also photographed her cousin Rachel’s wedding the previous year. It is beginning to feel like a family reunion and I am so thankful. Emily and Alex are getting married in Virginia next year and they drove up all this way to meet me at Wickham Park with their two dogs. (A special thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Oliver for being on doggy duty between photos!) I am looking forward to their wedding next spring. The Oliver family is always a delight on the dance floor!

I had visited Wickham Park several times in the past, but this was my first time getting the chance to photograph an engagement in this beautiful park. There are numerous gardens all with a different theme, creating a vast variety of gorgeous backdrops. It was so much fun to photograph Alex and Emily. They are a wonderful couple and I love how much their love shines through when they look at one another. Just looking at these photos below you will see what I mean. This engagement was pure joy.
