Laura & Paddy | Winter Wedding At The Waterview | CT Wedding Photographer

Laura and Paddy were married at The Waterview in Monroe on February 10, 2024. I first had the honor of meeting them in New York City in Central Park in January for a pre-wedding engagement session at the Bethesda Terrace Fountain where Paddy first proposed to Laura back in the fall. From the moment I took their first portrait together I knew that their love was something unique and rare. Laura absolutely lights up when she looks at Paddy. Photographing beautiful love stories like Laura and Paddy’s is one of the many things that makes me feel so grateful to be a wedding photographer. It has been such a joy capturing these moments and meeting Paddy and Laura’s families.

Family and friends came from as far as New Zealand, Australia, and Utah to celebrate their wedding day, which is a testament to how beloved they are by their loved ones. Before the ceremony, Laura and Paddy exchanged personal vows after their first look outside in the gardens of the Waterview. I carefully selected a compilation of photos that tells the story of their day. There are so Manny beautiful memories that did not fit in the blog post, including many portraits. If you do not see a special photo or group portrait that you remember me taking, Laura and Paddy will have the entire collection when they received their USB of edited images soon. Please leave some love below in the comments for Laura and Paddy to read.

Congratulations, Laura and Paddy!

How sweet is this bridesmaids first book?

Maid of Honor, Sadie, fixes Laura’s train before the first look. Sadie, thank you for being such a wonderful friend to Laura and Paddy! It was very sweet how you filmed this special moment for the two of them.

I truly believe that every couple who decides to have a first look should exchange some private vows before the ceremony. Paddy and Laura’s vows to one another were so heartfelt and I was tearing up behind my camera. Absolutely beautiful.

The ceremony took place inside one of the ballrooms at the Waterview.

The ceremony was officiated by Bishop Mike Saunders, a close friend of Laura’s father and the bishop of their church.

I love when the groomsmen have a pose they want to do and a good sense of humor.

I adore this tradition; Laura and Paddy took a flower from her bouquet and gave one to each woman at the wedding reception. If you are looking for a unique way to honor your guests and visit each table, I could not recommend this lovely gesture enough.

Laura’s sisters joined in for the father-daughter dance.

The dancing queen:

I simply adore a family who loves to dance!

We took these photos at the end of the reception when the fog had rolled in.

The reception ended with a glow stick exit! I enjoyed this alternative to the sparkler exit. It was so much fun!

Congratulations, Laura and Paddy! Wishing you both every happiness.

A very special thank you to the vendors, businesses, and close family and friends who made Laura and Paddy’s day so special.
