First Place | Litchfield Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards

Thank you so much to all of my clients, peers, friends, and family for voting for me for Litchfield Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Awards 2022. When a photographer friend reached out to me a couple months ago to let me know she had voted for me, I was blown away and had no idea I would later be listed as the first place wedding photographer for Litchfield County. Congratulations to my community and friends who earned a place in the awards, and especially to my friend Lindsey of Lindsey Victoria Photography who won first place portrait photographer.

You can see the full list of winners on Litchfield Magazine’s website and in the next issue of Litchfield Magazine.

I am so thankful for this beautiful community that I moved to last year. I feel so grateful to be able to do what I love to do. I cannot believe that Live Lovely Photography has grown this way over the past twelve years since I began photographing weddings. Several states and new beginnings later, it feels really good to start of 2022 in this way. When 2020 came I was prepared to quit my part time job and go full time with my wedding photography, and then the pandemic hit and one by one my weddings were cancelled and postponed. But still, I have not given up and my grit is what has gotten me here. There have been many times where I have been so hard on myself for not succeeding in the ways I thought that I should, but I have come to realize over the past year that success comes in many forms and to still be able to do what I love to do and to grow my skills each year is worth recognizing and appreciating.

I am so appreciative to all of the couples who have chosen me to document their important moments and to this incredible community  and Connecticut wedding industry where the community and wedding peers truly come together to support one another, to teach, and to inspire. This year I will continue to learn and create and to expand in new ways. I hope that as long as I live that I will continue to do so. I have photographed a few destination weddings in the past and this year I am thankful to say that I will be photographing a beautiful wedding in Tuscany, Italy this summer. Grateful is not a big enough word to describe what I am feeling today. Thank you.

With love and appreciation,

Courtney
